Not because $79.99 is a lot of money. It isn't — not in this industry. You comp a table on a slow Tuesday and absorb more than that without a second thought. You sign a vendor contract for supplies you never fully priced out and spend more than $79.99 in the margin you gave away in the first conversation. You run a promotion that brings in traffic that costs more to serve than it generates and call it marketing.
$79.99 is not the issue. The decision behind $79.99 is.
Here is the honest version of that decision.
There are two operators reading this right now.
The first operator will buy this book because they have already decided their development is worth investing in. They have read enough, failed enough, and succeeded enough to know that the thinking behind their decisions matters as much as the decisions themselves. They are not looking for a hack or a checklist or a motivational framework.
