Why Behind the Thinking #
Graduated from the Perception/Perspective Workshop of 05.04.2026, building on Jeffrey’s verbatim distinction: “Perception is how you currently think about the world. Its part of your personal belief system. Its intrinsic,” versus “Perspective is the extrinsic look at the world and then strategizing about how best to work with what you see.” A same-day architectural sharpening (10:04 PM CDT) replaced the original excavation-style diagnostic with the current readiness-check framing, and locked the sequence: [Perception Audit] first, [Just the Facts] second. Operators who never run the audit run their first day of work on repeat for years, until some life event forces them to rethink their perception and ask whether they were on the wrong road; operators who do ask find out where their lens is dull and go to work on it. The audit does not surface what the operator already believed — that is therapy. It verifies that the operator’s biases have been caged before they look at the world — that is operations. This superseded the earlier diagnostic, “Before you decide what to do about what you see, ask what you already believed before you looked,” which was judged to excavate beliefs rather than check readiness (that would be therapy, not operations).
