Definition #
Retired term. The Road 1 label for a Road 2 desire — naming Guests first by visit frequency and stabilizing revenue effect (“keeps us going”) rather than by relationship.

Canon — Retired/diagnostic. Sits inside the Guest-base mirror-read cluster alongside [The Mirror Read], [Seen and Remembered Guests], [Invisible Guests], [Conditional Guests].
Why Behind the Thinking #
The language sounds relational; the engine is economic. Selection is made on who looks most likely to stabilize revenue, regardless of the underlying relationship — that is Road 1 logic wearing the language of belonging. It is the failed compromise of trying to get Road 2 outcomes (stability, belonging, feeling known) using Road 1 tools (counting and sorting by visit frequency and spend). In this book “regular” is a diagnostic word: whenever it appears, Road 1 logic has entered the room. The moment any Guest’s name can be swapped for a revenue metric and the sentence still makes sense, The Regular is running the operation ([perspective_recompiled_07.08.2026.txt]).
