Definition #
Two distinct logics for designing roles in the operation. Finished-role cast: the Rung 2 cluster applies — scope is defined, transferred, closed, monitored for drift. Calibration cast: the role is deliberately not finished — deliverable is presence in motion, not execution; tenure is short and known.
Family #
People framework. The operator runs both logics simultaneously — chaos suppression (finished-role) and chaos cultivation (calibration cast). The tension is the job, not a problem to resolve.
Why Behind the Thinking #
The finished-role logic exists to compress variance. The calibration-cast logic is the inverse: deliberate introduction of a force the system cannot contain, for a bounded time, because the disorder raises the ceiling. The operator who only runs one logic has a hard ceiling. Most operators only know the first logic and mistake it for the complete architecture. For calibration cast, the Rung 2 cluster does not apply because there is nothing to transfer at the end.
